Taylor Redler-Robinson

Taylor Redler-Robinson was born with a natural interest for translating emotion into various art forms. Former chef and substance use recovery couch, Taylor recently discovered life pursuing art full time was the only path that felt aligned.

Taylor and her husband Connor Robinson opened “visceral home” a small business in which they work together creating handcrafted impactful art; Connor woodworks and Taylor paints. The teams current focus being capturing emotion through textured sculptural paintings using a wide range of unique wood species, plaster, concrete, rock pigment, healing crystal pigment, rust and local minerals/materials found in the low country. Her work portrays creatively the intense visceral feelings and experiences before, during, and after her active addiction while learning to cope with cPTSD. Taylor’s mission is to propose a new perspective on changing the negative stigma around addiction. She uses her paintings and artistic voice to vulnerability motivate others to share their stories, engage in new ways to self-explore, and release trauma through channeling their own inner creativity. She is represented at the Grand Bohemian Hotel Gallery, and presents exhibitions around Charleston in attempts to raise mental health awareness.
